Brooke’s work depicts the great need for people in the modern world to connect with nature. The constant observation and study of nature, and natural processes has helped her realize the importance of taking care of each other and the planet. It is too often days are spent connected to social media and disconnected from the earth. It is no wonder that the human race has lost its ability to see that the earth needs kindness and respect as much as we need Her. The earth and the world’s natural processes are cut out from our lives as we separate ourselves from our food sources, our pains and sufferings, and sunshine touching our skin. We don’t feel the breath of the mountain or desert without the taste of exhaust. We feel alone and disconnected from others no matter the ‘likes’ we receive online. We forget that the earth made us to be together feeling Her under our bare feet. We are exhausted from our long days alone, instead of being tired from using our bodies together. Harmony with diversity is found in nature and we need more harmony with diversity in the modern age.

Brooke is originally from California, but currently enjoying the landscape of Utah. She has studied with great artists from the West since 2003.
